Now you can figure out what people do after they click your links.

You can apply actions, tags, or followup sequences based on what links they click, which pages they see, or even which emails they look at.

I know analytics aren’t always perfect and analytics are not as useful when they aren’t tied directly into your marketing on a per customer basis. That’s I created this script. (plus it works perfectly with my latest product, you’ll see it later today)

If you want tags on your Infusionsoft customer records for every link they click on, every email they open, and every page they’ve seen then you’ve come to the right place!

Good Things to Know

• The email tracking is only good for batch emails since even opening the email template in your system for a particular contact will apply the tag to that person. This is because when you select your template, it loads the template on the spot for that contact opening the pixel before you click send.
• This doesn’t work in all programs. Some things like Joomla or WP don’t allow certain scripts to be called up so be sure to test the concept in your environment first. If it works for you, then you can start setting up a bunch of tags.
• If you want someone to arrive on the page with a contactId, you can redirect them from a web form, an order form, the shopping cart, or simply merge their contactId onto the back of a link from an Infusionsoft email template like so… link.html?contactId=~Contact.Id~
• This is a php script so of course, it will only work on servers that allow php to run.

Copy the code below, place it in the html section of any email template you wish to track open rates for. Be sure to change the conn.cfg to point to your Infusionsoft account & Change the link in the pixel code you download here to point to the infusionsoft_actions.php file on your server.

Once you’ve downloaded it, load it into the html of a new email template within Infusionsoft. As long as you map your fields back you can merge them into an email of this nature pretty easily if you watch the video.

Infusionsoft’s Default Order Forms are ugly. You can see them all over the internet and you recognize them as being from Infusionsoft because they are so noticeable. (not a good thing)

Just replace “://” with “%3A%2F%2F” and replace “/”‘ with “%2F” in any link to an image of yours so you can call your image securely and avoid the IE error of “This page contains both secure and non-secure items”.

You can put this link on any Infusionsoft order form or in Infusionsoft’s shopping cart! Just remember to change the application name (mine is moldingbox1 in the link above) to whatever your application name is instead.

This isn’t documented well or should I say at all within Infusion so here it is!

The code below lets you put a simple button on your thank you page that customers can click to automatically have a product added to their customer record and billed on the next batch job.

The Bad News!

Using this 1-click means the person’s credit card isn’t charged in real-time. The order is added and the transaction is processed in the next order processing batch. This means the person will always get a success message. It’s possible when the batch runs that their card won’t go through and your customer will think they’ve ordered it so make sure to setup your credit card triggers. Very Very Important to Watch This 2.5 Minute Video Too, It’s About Payplans!

Follow these instructions to make your own 1-click up sell with Infusionsoft for free!

1. Create a page on your site using the code found in blue below. Be sure to change your application name, “https://moldingbox1.inf….” would become “https://yourname.inf…”and your form’s “xid” to whatever webform you are using in your system.
2. Make any Infusionsoft Order Form that you want to go to this “1-click up sell” have the thank you url setting in Infusionsoft set to your new page and the box should be CHECKED that says “Pass Person’s info to “Thank You” page url (This is for techies)”.
3. You will also want to change your “No Thanks” link at the bottom of the code to either go to your down sale offer or any thank you page you desire.

The form will collect the data from the previous page so that the customer can simply click to process their next order. You just need to make sure your page is a .php extension and your server can run php in order for this to work properly.

I had no idea you could insert code within an order form template using the affiliate template. I thought it was the same thing as creating a header and a footer but you actually get more control using a combination of the two!

Point being: in the next few weeks there are going to be some freaking awesome Infusionsoft order form templates coming out that you can use on your site.
